Dr Kimberly Foley MD
Consultant Pulmonologist and owner of
The Pulmonology Specialists Bermuda.
I graduated from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
I completed my internship in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Brooklyn at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and her residency at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn. I returned to the University Hospital of Brooklyn at SUNY Downstate Medical Center to complete a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship.
I am board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. I hold medical licenses in New York State and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Since completing my training, I have worked as a locum tenens physician.
I have extensive experience working in both urban and rural settings.
I hold privileges at several hospitals in New York, Pennsylvania, and Bermuda.
I am a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and European Respiratory Society.
I currently serve as a director on the board of Open Airways and the
Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformations.
In 2017, I returned to Bermuda as a locum, and in 2019, I opened my practice,

I am passionate about my patients and take my calling as a physician very seriously. I am especially interested in thoracic radiology and am passionate about saving lives through early lung cancer screening.

On Sunday 19th of December 2021, I woke having problems breathing. I was taken to the emergency of KEMH and the nurse on duty was waiting for my arrival. They did a chest x-ray and discovered my left lung was partially collapsed and full of something that was hindering the airflow. Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. After being visited by 3 doctors there who discussed how to handle the situation, Dr. Foley was called in. Although all the doctors were professional and kind to me, it was Dr. Foley who put my mind at ease with her realism. We spoke on lament terms so I can understand exactly what was happening to me. The first order of business was to go into my lung and look at whatever was blocking the airway. This was scheduled quickly so I can be home for xmas. When I woke after the procedure and saw the thing she took out of my lung, I was astounded. How that mass of gook got in there in the first place was a mystery. That said, I woke to breathe again. I took a gulp of fresh air and was elated. This doctor saved my life! She is my angel and a very delightful person to talk to. You feel right at ease the first time you meet her. All doctors need to take a page out of her book! Thanks, Doctor Foley for what you have done for me and for making sure I was home for Christmas. May God bless her forever!
